"I'm honestly not sure how Dollar General is so cheap. I think they're just a regular American company. Maybe the products are all overstock, I have no idea. But they're cheap and decent."

"At the Dollar General at 2400 S.E. Hawthorne Rd. has an employee who has a problem with white women with black men and mixed kids. Her attitude with them is apprehensive and says that Dollar General has a policy that seniors can go to the front of the line which I'm on a walker and many times have stood waiting as far back as center aisle and was never asked to come to the front of the line, but then I'm white with mixed grandkids. I have not been to the store lately and probably will not ever return due to racism. Contacted corporate, doubt anything will be done."

"I am a previous employee at this Store; I've worked about 3 and a half weeks here and I received a pay card upon my first day and activated it but when pay time came around I didn't receive any funds and thought nothing of it so I waited till the next pay day when I realized that I wasn't receiving my paychecks. I tired calling the store as well as the manager's personal line but received nothing but delivered messages that she was unavailable or not in. So I have now looked to help from James Smiley a local lawyer here in SC and he told me to take the first step of talking to corporate so here I am after speaking to one of your Payroll agents and was told I would receive a call back on today but still NOTHING. So now who do I have to talk to in order to receive my 2 missing checks for my labor at Dollar General?"

"Yep- 5 stars! This is a really decent sized store and so convenient for everyone living in fitler square area.
When we first moved into our new apartment we got tons of essentials here for great prices. Not only are the cleaning supplies/household items way cheaper than CVS- their bath and body section has a great selection. I was really impressed to find a few of my go to products for much less than pharmacies and Amazon- so I stocked up!"
