"I've ordered from ThinkGeek twice now and on both occasions, there was a problem with my order... I contacted them through their live chat and was connected to someone within seconds. On both occasions, they provided generous compensation. Despite the trouble, I will definitely be ordering from ThinkGeek in the future."

"It depends on what you plan on buying. If you are buying toys or accessories it's amazing. I had a problem with buying clothes online. I purchased three different shirts through the site, all said they were women's XL. Open the box and boy was I surprised. Two of the shirts were clearly smaller than a women's xl (My sister is very tiny and they were snug even on here. I'd say a women's small maybe.) The third shirt was definitely XL width wise, but was very tiny length wise. Customer service wasn't able to tell me why the shirts that all said women's xl were clearly different sizes, but returning them was easy enough."

Ordered 3 items from Think Geek on Friday, Nov. 28th, 2014. I could have ordered all 3 from Amazon and used prime for free shipping, but went with Think Geek because their 'on-sale' price + shipping was cheaper than what I would have paid on Amazon even with free shipping. I have previously ordered from them 1 time without a problem. I had a little ordering frustration when trying to check-out. It told me my order didn't go through, so I started over, but then ended up with 2 order confirmations and I had to cancel the second order. Fast forward to today....UPS delivered my package. Thankfully, I opened the box to ensure everything was satisfactory. It wasn't. Only 1 of my 3 items was in the box. There were 2 other items in the box, but they weren't anything close to what I had ordered. I got on the phone with customer service right away. It took the agent some time to address the situation as she questioned me about the items that I did receive and attempted to identify them in their system. I was asked if I would be able to ship the items back to them in the next few weeks if they sent me a label. I agreed, but added that my main concern was getting the items I DID order ASAP! I was then told that the items I did order were now out of stock. I was put on hold while the agent worked out the details of what to do with my order. When she came back, she said that it was decided that I could just keep the items I received and they would be refunding me the entire amount of my order. Although I am still extremely disappointed with their mistake and now have to start from scratch ordering at a greater cost from Amazon, I am somewhat appeased by their handling of the customer service problem. The agent I talked with was professional, sympathetic, and politely listened to my complaints and vented frustrations. I haven't decided if I will risk ordering from them again in the future. I see a lot of other problems others are having getting the merchandise they have ordered. I guess with Think Geek, it's "buyer-be-prepared...you may not get what you order."

"This site has the best collection of geeky items to give as gifts (or to splurge on yourself). The prices are fairly comparable to the items when I find them at comic or game store. However, their shipping is a little more expensive than I would like and slow to boot. But where else can I buy gifts for the geeks in my life that leaves them actually excited?

Tip for consumers: Just leave some extra time for your order to arrive (two to three business days later than what was stated on the form) and try and shop when they have free shipping sales. (which are more frequent than you might think)."

"I have ordered from Think Geek for many years now and have never been disappointed. Read the descriptions and watch the videos because they are helpful. They help me find the perfect goofy/fun gift for almost anyone. I have never been disappointed. Customer service has helped me before I knew there was a problem as in the case recently of a shipment disappearing in transit. They notified me, which tells me they follow up on packages they send, and promptly sent out another package. My family always smiles when they realize they are opening a Think Geek package. It is fun to shop their site too. Time to spend my Think Geek points now for me!"
