"I am frustrated that there is an automatic 10% up-charge for shipping and then a frequent surcharge beyond for furniture items. An item that was just within my budget is suddenly out of my budget. I have not been disappointed with their quality though, as others have."

"I moved in and needed some furniture. I asked West Elm home stylist and received some great help from Kelsey. She came measuring my appt and made me some recommendation. After discussing by email and exchanging floor plans, I now have a nicely designed appartment. I find West Elm furniture much more charming than Crate & Barrel but still it is interesting to note that Kelsey did not hesitate to advise me other brands when West Elm did not offer what I needed.
The only thing I regret is maybe that I would have needed advice to add extra character to my home with original and unique pieces which I do not know where to find in NY. But well, it's free so it's clearly an amazing service coupled to a great store with good taste. And Kelsey was always very kind and available, making everything easy and helping me get the best deals.
Storewise, I regret that the store does not present more bedding (they only have a few displayed).

"I recently discovered this store. I purchase a L-shaped leather couch from them. Had to have it returned after 2 weeks because a seam unraveled. I attempted to purchase an item with my WestElm credit card. For some reason had a problem; the problem has yet to be stated to me, as I have not been able to get in touch with a customer service rep from the credit card company, after multiple attempts. I am currently on hold with my 4th (yes, my 4th "customer service" rep.).....13 minutes later.... I was finally able to speak to the manager, who just transferred me to Customer Processing?? I was just told my credit card was closed because I haven't used it in awhile. That is weird, because I just got it last month?????? How frequently do I need to use it??? Back on hold.....8 minutes later. Sent to another person...Back on hold....6 minutes....they suspected fraudulent activity so they closed the account. Never attempted to call me, and let me know this????? Worst customer service experience ever!"

"Every time I walk into WestElm I find things that I want to buy. I recently ordered two Tulip Chairs in fun colors (so they are being special ordered) and I can't wait to get them into my newly decorated (and more modern) living room!"

"I actually really loved this store.
The sales people don't stalk you. I definitely had to look for one when I needed help, but I actually like that.
They had a fantastic sale going on when I was there. Both the items I wanted were in stock and on sale. I was able to avoid their weird shipping costs."
