The story of Underground Printing started in 2001 when the two founders began A-1 Printing in a University of Michigan dorm room in Ann Arbor. Quickly realizing the limitations of running their business from a dorm room, they relocated to a local garage. In 2003, they changed the name of the company to Underground Printing and moved into a warehouse in Chelsea, Michigan. Over the years, they moved into progressively larger working spaces and opened numerous retail locations. They continue to offer custom printing of T-shirts, hoodies, masks, hats, jackets, accessories and other items. Today, in addition to approximately 25 retail locations, they offer custom-printed products through their online store. Underground Printing has found that the key to success is focusing on quality, customer service, and convenience.
